Summary
A multidisciplinary approach integrating laser scanning, Virtual Reality (VR), and numerical simulations demonstrated significant potential to streamline the creation of large-scale sculptures within heritage urban environments. This research highlights how digital tools can facilitate collaboration between artists, engineers, urbanists, archaeologists, and public authorities, effectively addressing complex challenges in sculptural realization. The project's action research methodology provided a practical framework for solving real-world problems, showcasing its applicability to UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Historic Centre of Rome.
