Summary

Samarkand is identified as a unique cultural phenomenon with distinct semiotic features that set it apart from other world texts. This study reveals that Samarkand's literary representation spans centuries and diverse genres, including historical novels, poetry, travelogues, and memoirs, forming a stable and original semiotic field. The research analyzes texts from the 15th to the 21st century, uncovering its polysemantic and functional nature, while systematizing its aesthetic models, world design principles, eidetic image, and urban locus. Samarkand's rich history as a center of science, culture, and arts is reflected in these texts, presenting an authentic cultural code that distinguishes it globally.
