Summary
A comprehensive study of nematode parasites in lizards from the Area de Conservación Guanacaste, Costa Rica, identified 14 species of gravid nematodes and 2 species of larvae across 16 lizard species. The research revealed 32 new host records, significantly expanding our understanding of parasite-host relationships in this UNESCO World Heritage Site. The study employed necropsies on 370 lizards from six families, providing critical insights into the biodiversity and parasitology of tropical ecosystems.
