Summary

A digital cultural route linking Scaliger castles in Verona, Italy, has been developed using advanced 3D modeling techniques. The research, led by the DAda-LAB at the University of Pavia, focused on Montorio Castle to test a rapid data acquisition strategy for creating a reliable photogrammetric database. This database was then used to generate realistic 3D models representing the castle's historical phases, combining videogrammetry with archival documents and archaeological reports. The study successfully established a philological process for reconstructing hypothetical developments of the castle, providing a replicable method for other Scaliger castles. This approach aims to enhance educational and informative digital experiences for UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
