Summary
Poplar forests within the Lena Pillars National Park exhibit high productivity and follow a predictable succession pattern, transitioning from herb-dominated young stands to coniferous forests as they mature. Research reveals consistent relationships between morphometric traits of poplar trees, providing insights into their ecological structure and dynamics. The study traces floodplain vegetation succession across three rivers (Buotama, Kuranakh, and Labyya), showing that overmature poplar stands are inevitably replaced by spruce or larch-spruce forests. These findings contribute to understanding the plant life of Yakutia's poplar forests and their potential future changes under varying environmental conditions.
