Summary

A study on Grauer's gorillas (Gorilla beringei graueri) in Kahuzi-Biega National Park, Democratic Republic of Congo, revealed distinct seasonal variations in their activity rhythms during tourist visits. The research, conducted from 2012 to 2014 using scanning and focal animal methods, observed six key behaviors: ground feeding, height feeding, foraging, habitat change, family resting, and agonistic interactions. These activities overlapped and varied seasonally between 8 am and 12 pm, providing insights that could enhance tourist experiences and boost park revenue.
