Summary
Cartographic representations of Colombia's Coffee Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011, reveal complex exchanges between heritage practices and local interpretations. This study highlights how mapping processes during the site's inscription process shaped its spatial boundaries and meanings, encompassing four departments and fifty-one municipalities in the Colombian Andes. Using an ethnographic approach, researchers uncovered disputes over interpretative models of space among stakeholders and documented post-inscription local reinterpretations, offering insights into the dynamics of heritage representation.
