Summary

A study assessing the triple bottom line impact of the Victoria Falls Carnival revealed strong attendee satisfaction, with participants expressing positive perceptions across socio-cultural, economic, and environmental dimensions. The research, based on systematic random sampling of 307 event spectators and in-depth interviews with organizers, demonstrated that attendees would recommend the carnival to others, highlighting its potential for future success through visitor attraction. Organizers are actively working to enhance each edition to sustain this support. The findings underscore the significance of attendee perceptions in shaping event tourism strategies, particularly in culturally rich tourist destinations like Mosi-oa-Tunya / Victoria Falls.
