Summary
Research at Bukit Bunuh, Lenggong Valley, reveals the presence of restricted and oriented faulting structures within the basement rock, providing critical insights into the geological framework of the area. The study utilized magnetic and gravity surveys to analyze a 6 km² region between two major mountain formations in Peninsular Malaysia: the Titiwangsa Mountain Range and Bintang Hill. By employing both qualitative and quantitative interpretation schemes—including anomaly pattern analysis and forward modeling—the findings correlated well with borehole data and geophysical resistivity surveys, reinforcing their reliability. This work enhances our understanding of the shallow crustal structure and structural framework of this significant archaeological heritage site.
