Summary

Persian gardens, renowned for their cultural and historical significance, have historically incorporated edible landscapes, particularly fruit trees. However, modern cultivation practices have neglected these edible species. This study demonstrates that restoring the edibility of Persian gardens aligns with their historical and cultural importance, offering potential benefits for landscape management and restoration. The research employs a historical review approach, analyzing data from ancient Mesopotamia to contemporary times. Findings suggest broader applications for similar cultural contexts, contributing to interdisciplinary discussions on landscape history.
