Summary
A novel spatial development model for traditional terraced homes in the Kurdistan Uramanat region offers a sustainable approach to preserving indigenous heritage while addressing contemporary challenges. These unique, climate-adapted structures—built with local materials and featuring ecological resilience—are at risk of deterioration. The proposed model integrates historical, cultural, and environmental considerations to revitalize these homes, ensuring their long-term viability. By blending traditional architectural principles with modern urban planning techniques, this study provides a practical framework for balancing heritage conservation with sustainable development in indigenous landscapes.
