Summary

Kazakhstan's Northern Kyzylkum Desert harbors 310 economically valuable plant species, including woody, food, medicinal, fodder, decorative, and technical varieties. Dominant families such as Poaceae, Asteraceae, Chenopodiaceae, and Fabaceae contribute significantly to this biodiversity. The study identified 200 medicinal, 100 fodder, 22 decorative, 11 sand-fixing, and 9 fuel species, highlighting their practical applications. Research employed classical botanical, route-reconnaissance, ecological-systematic, and ecological-geographical methods to classify these species by life forms, revealing six tree species, 44 shrubs/semi-shrubs, 155 perennials, and 105 biennial/annual plants. This comprehensive analysis underscores the region's rich genetic resources and their global economic importance.
