Summary

Floods in Kaziranga National Park present both challenges and benefits to the park's ecosystem. While floods cause significant damage such as land erosion, siltation of water bodies, habitat degradation, and increased animal accidents on NH-37, they also play a crucial role in nourishing and reviving the park's wetlands and grasslands annually. This study examines the dual nature of floods—whether they are more of a doom or a boon—and evaluates how the park authority mitigates adverse outcomes during flood seasons. The research critically analyzes the effects of flooding on the park, providing insights into its complex dynamics and management strategies.
