Summary
A new classification system for medieval administrative books used by the mayordomos (administrators) of Seville Cathedral is proposed, offering a more accurate reflection of their original roles and material characteristics. These diverse codices, primarily used for economic management, share common material traits despite serving specific purposes. The study analyzes their diplomatic and codicological features to better understand their function in managing the rich ecclesiastical heritage of Seville during the Middle Ages.
