Summary

Research on the Temple and Cemetery of Confucius, along with the Kong Family Mansion in Qufu, reveals that Yin Yang balance and harmony serve as fundamental aesthetic principles guiding the planning and design of Confucian architecture. These sites, constructed from 478 BCE onwards, with significant expansions during the Ming and Qing dynasties, were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. The study also examines modern Confucian architectural developments, such as the Confucius Research Institute and Cultural Park, to further explore how these philosophical concepts manifest in built environments.
