Summary

Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, stands out as a promising international tourism hub with potential to attract over 5 million visitors annually. The city's cultural diversity and rich heritage, including landmarks like the Kazan Kremlin and G. Kamal Theatre, drive its appeal. However, inbound tourism faces significant challenges, notably low service standards and economic constraints affecting local hospitality. Bauman Street emerges as a key tourist hotspot, with around 300 daily visitors, while young travelers constitute half of the tourist demographic. The study identifies these factors to highlight both opportunities and barriers for sustainable tourism growth.
