Summary
Research reveals that the Jesuit libraries extended beyond their colleges to include smaller collections housed in various administrative residences, such as estancias, which supported pastoral and educational activities. This study focuses on the library of Santa Catalina, an estancia in Córdoba, Argentina, part of the Jesuit Province of Paraguay, to reconstruct its cultural legacy from limited inventory records. By analyzing these inventories, the research contributes to the preservation of this understudied aspect of Jesuit heritage, offering insights into the broader organizational and educational networks of the order.
