Summary

A significant sociocultural information gap exists among stakeholders in Komodo National Park's dive tourism industry, with foreigner communities demonstrating superior mastery of environment preservation discourse compared to local stakeholders. This disparity is linked to knowledge gaps in tourism-technical and sociocultural issues, with sociocultural information dominating everyday discourse over technical details. The study, conducted through document analysis, field observation, and in-depth interviews with 20 stakeholders, highlights the need for further research into the strategies of actors managing sociocultural information to enhance collaboration and maximize the role of Destination Management Organization-Destination Governance (DMO-DG).
