Summary
A study assessing the recognition of Indonesian cultural elements in three popular Android games—Dakon, Temple Rush: Prambanan, and Karapan Sapi—revealed that users demonstrated a 75.17% level of awareness or 'adequate' knowledge regarding these cultural components. The research employed quantitative methods, distributing surveys to 30 game users to evaluate their familiarity with the embedded cultural content, including textual narratives, gameplay elements, characters, backgrounds, sounds, and animations. This finding underscores the potential of mobile games as effective vehicles for transmitting and preserving local cultural heritage, particularly among younger generations, while also highlighting the need for further strategies to enhance user engagement and learning outcomes in this context.
