Summary
A paradigm shift is proposed to transform a Philippine state university into a regenerative institution, aiming to go beyond sustainability by integrating regenerative development and futures thinking. This approach seeks to redefine the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and mainstream regenerative practices across the university's core functions: instruction, research, extension, and production. The study focuses on Mount Hamiguitan Range Wildlife Sanctuary in Davao Oriental, a region rich in biological, social, and cultural heritage, and aims to influence local communities toward shared regenerative futures that benefit both the environment and society. By adopting this framework, the university could serve as a model for conservation, management, and regeneration, fostering long-term ecological and societal resilience.
