Summary

A comprehensive dataset of land cover summary statistics for 12 National Park Service Pacific Island Network park units, including Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, has been developed. This dataset, derived from the NOAA Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) data, provides land cover information at two classification scales: modified Anderson Level 2 and Natural versus Converted land cover. The findings are based on the most recent versions of source datasets and are intended for use in the NPS Inventory and Monitoring Program, including the Environmental Settings Monitoring Protocol. These statistics offer valuable insights into the land cover dynamics across U.S. Pacific Islands, aiding in park management and conservation efforts.
