Summary

A remote sensing study reveals that biological activities, such as algae and moss growth, significantly influence the physical conditions of heritage structures within the Osun-Osogbo Sacred Grove UNESCO World Heritage Site. This research demonstrates how greenery affects thermal and weathering processes on built historical structures in tropical climates, contributing to both degradation and potential conservation benefits.
