Summary

Despite being crucial contributors to revenue generation, women entrepreneurship remains underdeveloped in rural areas of Manas National Park, a key wildlife tourism destination. This study highlights significant barriers preventing women from establishing and running enterprises in the region, while also identifying motivations for those interested in venturing into entrepreneurship. The research employs a dual approach: analyzing existing women entrepreneurs' challenges and examining factors that inspire aspiring female business owners. Findings underscore the untapped potential of women-led businesses in supporting sustainable tourism growth within protected areas like Manas National Park.
