Summary
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) emerged as a transformative tool for monitoring UNESCO World Heritage Sites, offering high-resolution data collection and analysis. This study demonstrated their effectiveness at Choirokoitia, a Neolithic settlement in Cyprus, showcasing UAVs' ability to capture detailed topographic and archaeological features without ground disturbance. By integrating multispectral imaging with photogrammetry, researchers generated precise 3D models and orthomosaics, revealing micro-topographical variations and structural details that are critical for site preservation and analysis.
