Summary

Scientists have identified three new species of the trechine genus Pilosaphaenops from caves in South China Karst, specifically P. qianzhii n. sp. from Lubian Dong (Guizhou) and P. mengzhenae n. sp., P. weiguofui n. sp. from Xia Dong and Shenlong Gong (Guangxi). These discoveries expand the known biodiversity of the genus, which is notable for its cave-dwelling adaptations. The study employed morphological analysis to distinguish these species, supported by detailed illustrations. A key to all known Pilosaphaenops species was also provided, aiding future taxonomic research in this region.
