Summary

Landslide susceptibility mapping in the Tinau-Mathagadhi section of Palpa District, Lumbini Province, reveals that the Main Boundary Thrust (MBT) is a significant factor influencing landslides. The study used high-resolution Google Earth imagery and frequency ratio analysis to assess eight causative factors, including topography, geology, and land-use. Key contributors to landslide risk were identified as distance from the MBT, aspect, land-use, and geology. Validation through ROC-AUC curve achieved 79.6% accuracy, confirming the reliability of this approach for the region.
