Summary

Culture-led urban transformation strategies for industrial heritage and brownfields in Istanbul show significant potential for entrepreneurial growth, particularly in high-income areas. A multi-criteria evaluation method revealed that while sites like those along the Bosphorus are favorable for such strategies, integrating creative and progressive approaches could enhance their effectiveness. The study provides a framework for planners to guide medium- and long-term regeneration efforts, combining spatial analysis with cultural development strategies to address idle industrial sites in a global city context.
