Summary
A comparative analysis reveals that the closing lessons of the hagiography of Studenica Monastery's founder, St. Simeon, written by St. Sava around 1207-8, were largely derived from an earlier oration by Theodore the Studite (Hilandar 387), composed before 826. This discovery sheds new light on the literary and theological influences in the Typikon of Studenica Monastery. The study examines the eschatological vision shared between these texts, comparing them with other Serbo-Slavonic and Greek manuscripts from the middle Byzantine period to trace their transmission and evolution.
