Unidades de Conservação e Comunidades Tradicionais: Um Olhar acerca da Comunidade Caiçara na Vila de São Gonçalo, no Mosaico da Bocaina em Paraty – Rj

This study highlights the harmonious relationship between the traditional Caiçara community and environmental conservation within the Bocaina Mosaic. It demonstrates how the community's indigenous knowledge and practices contribute significantly to the preservation of the Parque Nacional da Serra da Bocaina in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro. The research, conducted through fieldwork at São Gonçalo village, emphasizes the importance of integrating traditional ecological knowledge with conservation strategies to maintain biodiversity and environmental sustainability.
