Summary
A study demonstrates that modern laser scanning technologies can effectively capture the interior appearance of historic wooden churches in Maramureş, Romania, even under challenging lighting conditions. By developing a specialized scanning methodology and selecting appropriate equipment parameters, researchers successfully documented four 17th- and 18th-century churches, preserving their culturally significant interiors despite environmental degradation risks. The approach proved robust for future heritage documentation projects, offering a scalable solution for structures facing similar preservation challenges.
