Summary
A multidisciplinary educational initiative at Serra da Capivara National Park (PNSC) successfully bridged classroom learning with field-based exploration, deepening students' understanding of prehistoric art and cultural heritage. The study involved high school students from the Escola Sesi Ignez Pitta de Almeida, integrating disciplines such as Art, History, Geography, and Biology to analyze and interpret prehistoric representations in situ. Conducted between 2019 and 2020, the project combined theoretical studies—including seminars, research, and reflective descriptions—with a three-day field trip to PNSC and the Museu do Homem Americano. This approach not only enhanced students' comprehension of multidisciplinary concepts but also served as a pedagogical tool for educators, demonstrating the effectiveness of integrating fieldwork into academic curricula.
