Summary
Mountain outdoor tourism significantly influences Tibetan mountain guides' place identity, except for the dimension of distinctiveness. The study found that economic income, family reunion, community development, external evaluation, host-guest interaction, professional identity, career change, and personal growth are key factors shaping self-efficacy, self-esteem, continuity, and distinctiveness among guides in Mt. Siguniang Town. These insights, derived from semi-structured interviews and content analysis, provide valuable references for local tourism management and future research on mountain outdoor tourism and place identity.
