Summary

A stable spatial pattern emerges in wetland ecosystems, such as Keoladeo National Park (KNP), where 'good biomass' persists despite the dynamic presence of 'bad biomass.' The study identifies critical parameters—growth rate and carrying capacity for bad biomass, along with carrying capacity and half-saturation constant for good biomass—that determine ecosystem health. Using a diffusion-based model, researchers simulated spatiotemporal dynamics and analyzed stability, revealing how these factors influence species persistence or extinction. Computer simulations further highlighted the role of these parameters in maintaining ecological balance.
