Summary

Modern art events serve as a tool to express the community's cultural 'psyche' and highlight the presence of Ottoman architectural heritage in the Medina of Tunis, despite structural changes from commercialism. This study focuses on how contemporary artistic activities, such as 'Interference' and 'Dream City,' foster crosscultural interactions and shape new experiences within the historical city walls. Using a qualitative research method, it examines the impact of hybrid representations induced by these events on the Ottoman architectural heritage, revealing its resilience in the face of gentrification.
