The study highlights strong local dependence on protected forests for energy, driven by household size, biomass reliance, and limited off-park alternatives. These findings emphasize the need for integrated conservation strategies, including tree planting, agroforestry initiatives, improved cookstoves, and alternative livelihoods to balance biodiversity protection with community energy needs.
