Summary

A comprehensive survey of the Western Tien Shan flora in Tajikistan revealed 547 previously undocumented plant species, with significant diversity observed in the Kurama Range (407 species) and Mogoltau Mountains (140 species). Multivariate analysis indicated low floristic similarity between these regions. Dominant families included Poaceae, Asteraceae, Fabaceae, and Brassicaceae, while 135 species were identified as rare. The study, conducted through extensive fieldwork (2016–2019) and herbarium specimen analysis (>20,000 samples), provides critical data for biodiversity conservation in this UNESCO-listed region.
