Summary
Advanced electromagnetic mapping of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Pasargadae, a significant Achaemenid center in southern Iran, has revealed new insights into its layout and geomorphology. The study utilized two GF Instruments CMD electromagnetic devices during fieldwork conducted between 2017 and 2018 to generate high-resolution subsurface data. This approach allowed researchers to uncover hidden structures and geological features, providing a deeper understanding of the site's complex architecture and environmental history. The findings contribute valuable information for both archaeological preservation efforts and further studies on Achaemenid urban planning.
