Summary

Foreign tourists visiting Safranbolu between 2009 and 2011 were most disturbed by billboards (23.08%) and air pollution (21.15%), with traffic congestion being a consistent concern across years and tourist groups. Visual pollution from solar heating systems and satellite dishes also drew attention. The study, analyzing data from three consecutive years, highlights the impact of urban elements on tourists' environmental perception in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
