Summary

A comprehensive anatomical and histological study of the marine gastropod Phorcus lineatus from El Jadida's coastline, Morocco, reveals detailed insights into its internal and external morphology, as well as cellular organization. This research marks the first such description for this species, providing foundational data essential for future bioaccumulation studies aimed at monitoring pollution health in Morocco's Atlantic coasts. The study employed a year-long collection of specimens from June 2018 to May 2019, followed by macroscopic and microscopic observations, along with histological analysis. Phorcus lineatus was selected as a bio-indicator due to its resilience in polluted environments, limited mobility, and ecological significance in the food chain. The findings enhance our understanding of this species' structural intricacies, paving the way for broader ecological assessments.
