This transformation is characterized by a shift towards the tertiary sector, an increase in informal work, and a renewed focus on public spaces and tourism. The study, which combines bibliographic analysis, key informant interviews, and participant observation, reveals how these changes reflect broader neoliberal policies and their impact on urban dynamics.
