Implementierung des Ökosystemleistungs-Ansatzes in deutschen Biosphärenreservaten

A significant disparity exists in the implementation of ecosystem services approaches among Germany's 15 UNESCO biosphere reserves, with those along the North Sea coast leading due to better-resourced management and alignment with international agreements like the trilateral Wadden Sea pact. This study reveals that while such approaches can enhance communication, fundraising, monitoring, planning, and management in protected areas, their adoption is hindered by limited resources and administrative structures that conflict with their cross-sectoral nature.
