Scholarly interest in Persian gardens surged following David Stronach's 1967 excavation at Pasargadae, revealing intricate connections between these gardens and Persian history, poetry, and the arts. This study synthesizes historical and archaeological evidence to illustrate how Persian gardens served as symbolic spaces reflecting cultural values, royal power, and artistic expression. By analyzing architectural features, textual sources, and artistic representations, the research demonstrates that these gardens were not merely ornamental but integral to Persian identity and heritage. The approach combines archival research with interdisciplinary analysis, offering new insights into the multifaceted significance of Persian gardens in UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
