Summary

Newly uncovered inscriptions and scenes from Theban Tomb TT 224, combined with data from the tombs of Ahmose's sons, reveal significant details about the extended family of Ahmose, a high-ranking grain superintendent under Pharaoh Thutmose III. This research reconstructs Ahmose's family tree for the first time, identifying parents, siblings, spouses, and children, along with their titles, shedding light on his social status and professional career. The study also examines the relationship between Ahmose and Sennefer, his alleged son, using primary sources. The findings were facilitated by the Egyptian conservation team's restoration of TT 224, which had previously remained unpublished and unexplored due to its poor condition.
