Summary
A natural resources cadastral plan implemented in Pasargadae, Iran, successfully differentiated between private and national lands using high-resolution QuickBird satellite imagery. The study utilized georeferenced images (50-60 cm resolution) combined with digitized historical maps (1:10,000 to 1:50,000 scales) and Google Earth data to generate accurate cadastral maps. These maps clarified land ownership boundaries, preventing illegal encroachment on natural lands such as forests, rangelands, and desertification areas. The approach demonstrated the potential of remote sensing in supporting sustainable land management and conservation efforts.
