Historical and Cultural Heritage of Bundelkhand Region Conservation, Visualization, Using G.I.S Technologies

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies emerge as powerful tools for the conservation and visualization of Bundelkhand's historical and cultural heritage, including the UNESCO-listed Khajuraho Group of Monuments. This study demonstrates that GIS can effectively create detailed inventories, assess structural conditions, monitor changes over time, and enhance public engagement through immersive visualizations. By integrating traditional conservation methods with advanced GIS technologies, researchers show that it is possible to overcome challenges such as environmental degradation and socio-economic constraints, ensuring the sustainable preservation of Bundelkhand's rich cultural legacy. The findings highlight the transformative potential of GIS in heritage conservation, offering a balanced approach that supports informed decision-making for conservationists, researchers, and policymakers alike.
