Summary

The Russian State Library (RSL) plays a pivotal role in shaping the modern book industry through its active participation in socio-cultural events, such as the annual 'Red Square' book festival. This study highlights how RSL leverages its vast collections and publishing capabilities to stimulate the book market, positioning itself as a key driver of socio-cultural value. By analyzing major RSL projects within the 2019 festival and aligning them with Russia's 'Culture' National Project (2019–2024), the research identifies emerging trends in publishing, distribution, and library modernization, including the development of municipal regional libraries and the National Electronic Library (NEL). The findings underscore the importance of multi-level communication in expanding library-information spaces and addressing industry challenges.
