Summary
A comparative analysis of the Hissar–Alay Mountain Domain and the Pamirs reveals distinct tectonic structures, evolutionary paths, and geological characteristics. These mountain systems, part of different mobile belts (Central Asian and Alpine–Himalayan), exhibit significant differences in morphostructure, tectonic style, kinematic processes, and geological events. Unlike the Hissar–Alay Domain, which is linked to the Ural–Mongolia Belt, the Pamirs belong to the Alpine–Himalayan Belt, showing no substantial geodynamic interaction between them. The study highlights independent formation histories shaped by divergent tectonic forces, magmatic activity, and recent orogeny.
