Summary
A hybrid methodology combining semantic extension and shape grammar successfully innovates Yinxu bronze patterns while retaining traditional symbolism. This approach addresses symbolic complexity and form repetition by extracting cultural features and applying rule-based generative design, demonstrating adaptability to modern aesthetics without losing heritage significance. The study also highlights structural inertia in traditional pattern production, offering pathways for reactivation. A fuzzy evaluation model assessed the generated motifs based on innovation, expressiveness, and aesthetics, providing both theoretical and practical insights into the digital reinterpretation of cultural heritage motifs.
