Summary

A photographic record of the burrowing frog extends its known range in Burkina Faso, pushing it further southwest towards Ivory Coast. This discovery builds on earlier findings by M.-O. Rödel, who first documented the species in 1992 near Ouagadougou and later in Comoé National Park. The observation, made from Karankasso-Vigué pasture grounds with swamps, highlights the frog's presence in a new region, though it remains unrecorded in Mali. This study contributes to the understanding of the species' distribution, leveraging photo voucher evidence to confirm its range expansion.
