Summary

Samarkand scholars, particularly the Jumadil Kubro family, played a pivotal role in introducing and integrating Islam and Sufism into Indonesian society during the 15th century. Their efforts transformed these religious practices into daily life across the archipelago and beyond, leaving a lasting cultural legacy still revered today. Despite their significant historical impact on Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia, their contributions have been understudied by local historians. This study highlights their activities and descendants' roles in spreading Islam, using historical analysis to shed light on this overlooked aspect of Islamic history.
